Welcome!

Well I finally found my round-tuit and got a preliminary site back up and running. This server is sitting at work in a nice data center rack so hopefully it will last longer then one sitting at my house.

Since I can't be bothered with writing a website from the ground up I "cheat" and use frameworks and other pre-packaged things. Oh like Symfony for the base framework, Gallery and SquirrelMail do what they do. Finally Perl does what it does best and deals with text. For those of you keeping track, this is generation #3 of my site.

Recently while working with Symfony, and mucking about with the sfPropelRouteCollection class I had an action that queried a table with some foreign keys. Which is no big unique thing, and fairly typical. With propel you can get the related objects fairly easy as well which again is nothing ground shaking....

Blender soft bodies and swings.

While pursing this [http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Manual/Soft_Bodies] page on the blender site, I came across the section titled [Swing]. Hey this sounds neat I thought however the instructions are not very clear there and I could not seem to get them to work as written.
Not being deterred I decided to see if I...

Mouse Possessed?

Posted by Gregory McLean on 2008-11-17 in Technology - no comment

So I've been using these nifty optical mice since they came up with the ones that don't require that specialized mirrored mouse pad. Sometimes I wonder if the bloody things are possessed by some evil spirt or something. This seems to be related to lots of incremental small movements, oh like...
